A Parable for Our Time

I just finished reading The Shack by William P. Young. It is a very interesting story. If you have read it, what did you think?
I love a book that makes you think and this one does!

It REALLY Is a Small World After All!

As you probably know, I maintain the Wild Bird Center Peachtree City Blog. I added a Feedjit Widget to the page to keep up with traffic. Unbelieveable! Here is a link to the map showing the hits we have gotten in the few weeks we have been running. We have had traffic from Prince George, British Columbia to Buenos Aires and from London to New Zealand and points in between.

It thrills me to know that our planet is getting smaller and smaller and that we can communicate with everyone so very easily! Maybe if we knew each other better, we would care more, and take better care of each other. (And that means ALL of us!)

Thought for Super Tuesday

Ponder and Reply: This Door.....

For this exercise, this shot taken in Barcelona by my nephew represents our class. Considering your comfort and familiarity with your camera, your manual, course resources, your blog, the shots you have taken, the responses from your families - have you flung the door open, run through and seized the day or are you still on the outside, struggling to open the door and peek through? Please let me know your thoughts........

Ponder and Reply (1) if You Want to Share

I took this photo in the strength and conditioning room of the Butts-Mehre Building at UGa. Disregarding the crazy angle and the fact that I took a picture of a sign, does it say anything to you about photography?

When you took your camera off the auto setting, how many black shots did you get before you figured out what was wrong?

You tried to read the manual and it read like a Greek technoguide.....then what?

Blog!@#$% Is this woman crazy...I'm too old/young/pick your own adjective to blog!

Furthermore, am I attempting to make photography a spiritual experience and ram something down your throat?

OK - Is that enough raw meat to evoke a response from you? If so, please leave a comment.....

P.S. GOOOOOOOOOOO Dawgs!
